HA.
So the past week? Haven't got much to report. Work, work, work. Passed my NVQ in Business and Administration on Wednesday - Woo!
Last night I went to a Foam Party at a club in Manchester, think I've mentioned this in previous weeks how much I wanted to go but I had a problem with ID - received my driving licence on Thursday, so I was all set to go!
Was originally set to go along with a mate Laura, but she was off work on Friday sick, and hasn't been in contact over the weekend, so the boys from work invited me along instead. Didn't leave home to go into town till 10.30pm, and when I arrived at the venue, there was a queue all around the building and was told it would be an hour till I actually got inside the venue. Please bear in mind, that it was freezing! Very nearly jumped into another taxi and set off back home.
Finally got into the venue around 11.20pm, where the others were already waiting for me inside. Altogether, there was five of us, me, two work mates - Jack and Chris, and two of Chris's mates - Rick and John. Walked into the venue, was pitch dark, the place was crowded, thought there was no chance in hell of me ever finding the lads. But fortunately, within 30 seconds of walking in there, I spotted Jack, where I was then jumped upon by the other four lads - "Aliiiceee, you've made it!".
Of course, Foam Parties = Messy!
We all went on the dancefloor, and the atmosphere was crazy. Foam was constantly going in your drink, you was soaked, but non-the-less, was awesome! The venue I went to, is well known for it's indie music - "the number one indie experience", but it also plays a few dance tracks - "Set You Free".
Mr Brightside by the Killers came on, and instantly me and Rick went absolutely mental. Due to Rick's non-brilliant thinking, he decided to lift me up and make everyone crowd surf me. As a result, I managed to lose both of my shoes and my earrings. No chance in hell of ever finding them. So I spent all night walking around bare foot, being stood on numerous times when dancing, and basically looked like a fool.
We went outside the odd occasion since the lads smoke. (£1 each for a wristband, to allow you to go outside for a cig! Madness!) so of course, off I toddle bare foot, wandering around the streets of Manchester. I then decided that I wasn't drunk enough, and it was my round to buy everyone drinks, so we headed back to the club, only for me to be rejected entry because I had no shoes on. Absolute jokers! So I sat on the roadside for the remainder of the night whilst waiting for Chris who was inside the club, to realise that we had all suddenly abandoned him and to make his way outside. Many many people, came upto me last night and asked,
"Can I ask you a personal question?"
"Why do I have no shoes on?"
"Yeah!"
Rick who managed to make me lose my shoes in the first place, went back into the club to find Chris, to then come out 30 mins later, "Alice, Alice! Is this your shoe?!" waving some random girl's shoe in my face. No. "I've also found this Ted Baker watch and this rose in the foam, am I forgiven?" and gave me them. LOL.
The club finally closed at 2am, Alice still shoeless. The five of us all stood waiting for a taxi back to Chris's, and some drunken lad next to me, suddenly lost his footing and fell face first onto the road. I'm not joking, the smack you heard as he hit the road, was unbelievable. So all five of us were there at his first aid, his face absolutely covered in blood. I'm there with tissues trying to mop up what I could, blood all over my hands, while Jack called for an ambulance. Poor lad, I bet he's feeling last night more than anyone this morning!
Off to Chris's we went, more booze and grub. Busted on the CD player, couldn't be anymore happier! So, the lads thought it would be fun to have a game of strip poker and truth or dare. Of course, I lost on both occasions. Really really good night though, none of us actually went to sleep till 8am this morning since we had been on double vodka and redbulls all night.
All of us have been at Chris's all day today, splashed out on McDonalds, played on the X-Box, didn't get home till two hours ago - again, walking down the streets, bare foot.
But yeah, brilliant night. Have so many quality pics of last night, just waiting for the lads to upload them onto Facebook and shizzle. :]

# 311:05pm, Aug. 27th 2007Yes, venue.
Venue, club, potato, partato.
Actually, I've just re-read the whole of that post, and realise I do sound like a bit of a geek with "venue" throughout.

Seriously though, that sounded like an awesome night. Then again what night where you are out and about shoeless isn't a good one? -
# 93:54am, Aug. 28th 2007McDonalds...X-box... up late.. . . no shoes?
Why am I never invited? -
# 105:47pm, Aug. 28th 2007Yes, I am in mourning over the loss of my shoes which now lie in their trash. Plus, my feet are covered in blisters from walking around all night bare foot, and are now in agony.
.. And my body is covered in cuts and bruises! The lads gave me piggy backs and fireman lifts throughout the night to save my feet, but soon realised that I've put on a bit of holiday weight, and dropped me many times. LOL.
Brilliant night.
