Before reading please bear in mind I am not very pc literate
We would like to set up my sons games console to the internet we have the puta in one bedroom and the console in another bedroom, I have a linksys wireless router thingy which was set up for a puta we no longer use ( I dont know any passwords or w/e to it as someone else set it up for me) can anyone plz plz help me (in simple terms)
Basically their should be a default WEP key at the base of the router. You have to connect the 360 via the yellow (normally yellow) LAN cable upto your router. You have to set it up your IP address, on the 360 and it should ask for the password to allow access to your internet connection.
I have xbox 360 live... I use a D-Link Router, hooked up to a modem, and ran a cable to the X-Box and the router, and it verified the IP, DNS, how I'm hooked up to the internet and everything...
I know my router is compitble because I looked on the XBox site but the problem I will have is I dont know the password to the router I have a lanksys wireless router and BT modem thingy
I have been told I will need a wireless do dah fingy from xbox so now I have ordered a longer cable to run from either my pc or router to the xbox because not only is it cheaper but aparently wireless isnt that good for gaming
