Logging On Problems

# 18:48am, Dec. 12th 2006I was just thinking that the system of logging on here allows people to just hack in to other peoples accounts because when an account that is already on-line logs on to a different computer, the second one takes control of the account. It sort of encourages hackers because it enables them to hack 24/7 easily. They don't even need to study other peoples timetables for using the site.

The login system for the site is retty much identical to every single login script on the net. If you don't give people your password your account is pretty much safe.
Again near to all sites are like this, you could then login to your account, then change your password, as you are taking control.
Hackers only hack to piss people off or to gain information, and no, they don't have to study your timetable however, they do need to find your password.
Silly silly.

However, if someone did get your password, you can contact an admin and we can simply change the password to something else and take back the account for you -

If we let people do that, someone could pose as someone else and tell me to change the password, and thus we would have allowed access to an impostor.
